good, short, sweet article by nicholas kristof about the political and economic ramifications should a strike on iran occur within this year (and pretty much, how there’s a consensus against this)
great, illuminating read
paul krugman from the new york times has an interesting article on oil prices, job creation, and how foolish republicans have been for claiming what they claim. they want america to drill and dig into the earth to tap untouched resources. true, we’ve left some sources alone. however, drilling has increased since the bp oil spill and us oil production has increased. yet, the more substantial causes of rising oil prices is from higher global demands and instability in the middle east.
secondly, increasing drilling operations just straight up means not that many more jobs, unlike what republicans claim.
so why are republicans saying all this? read to find out!
a good, critical article about the folly of the current gop candidates and the entire party’s position on rising oil prices
only in politics will you see people acting sanctimoniously, trying to get what they want by convincing the gullible public that that is what they also should want (ahem…a republican in office)…when in fact, they’re the ones that are more responsible for the hikes in gas prices to begin with (which, they’re actually blaming the dems for)………
sigh…it’s all gone to hell! but enjoy the article!
